The Lorex L224161 presents a perfect solution for budget conscious applications requiring multiple locations to be monitored both locally and from a remote location. Video is recorded in either the MPEG4 or MJPEG compression formats at speeds up to 120 FPS and is stored to an internal 160GB HDD or to an optional USB memory drive or CD/DVD burner. Should the need arise, the included drive is easily upgradeable to a standard IDE drive up to 500GB in capacity. Thanks to its built-in triplexer, images from all cameras can be viewed at the same time video is being played back and recorded.
Once connected to a network, cameras and recordings can be accessed from virtually anywhere in the world simply by logging on to an Internet browser. Furthermore, working from a networked PC, a user also has the ability to control the PTZ function of compatible dome cameras. Setup and operation is quick and easy with an intuitively designed front panel along with a user-friendly, menu-driven interface offering programming in several languages. For even greater convenience, all DVR functions can be accessed from a distance using the supplied remote control.
