Map Screen Modes: The Strada GPS unit features the following Map Screen Modes.
- Standard Mode: The Stradas on-screen map is always in Standard mode when you are not navigating, when you have not calculated a route and when no destination is being searched for on the map. Your current position is indicated by a triangle in red in the middle of the lower third portion of the screen. If you move, the position of the triangle will not move on the screen. Instead, the visible map section will scroll corresponding to your position.
- Preview Mode: In the Preview mode, the navigation destination is depicted by a small black and white checkered flag while the route (highlighted in orange) estimated trip time and estimated time of arrival are also displayed. Your destination is marked with a little red arrow.
- Navigation Mode: After the route has been viewed in Preview, Mode the Navigation Mode will open. Your location is depicted by a red triangle while your route and traffic lanes will be highlighted in orange and turns will be designated by orange arrows. Signpost and POI information is also visible. The map sector displayed changes continually so that your current position is always more or less centered on the map. The height above sea level, your current speed, remaining distance to your destination, estimated duration of the trip and the estimated time of arrival are also displayed.
- Destination Search Mode: The map is always in Destination Search mode when a pair of cross hairs can be seen on the units screen when the unit is searching for a GPS signal of your position or location.
Map View Modes: You can choose from the following modes to view the units map screens.
- 2D: Two dimensional view of map which displays the top of the screen in either the direction of your heading or direction pointing North.
