The Avanti IHP1501 Induction Hotplate is an energy efficient portable electric cookttop, using 25% less energy than standard electric hotplates. The IHP1501 features an easy-to-clean ceramic glass cooktop and has an electronic display for timer and temperature/power settings. In addition to full range temperature control, the hotplate offers 6 convenient temperature settings (Warm - 440°F) and 2 power settings (1300 and 1500 Watts) as well as a 1-99 minute timer with a Cancel option. The Avanti IHP1501 Induction Hotplate is an energy efficient portable electric cookttop, using 25% less energy than standard electric hotplates. The IHP1501 features an easy-to-clean ceramic glass cooktop and has an electronic display for timer and temperature/power settings. An induction cooktop itself does not create heat. Instead, it generates an electromagnetic field that induces an electrical current in metal cookware. Electrical resistance in the cookware, in turn, converts the electrical energy to heat energy. In other words, the heat is actually generated in the cookware and transferred directly to the food. Once the cookware is removed from the cooktop, no more heat is generated. In addition, the cooktop is safe to touch even when it is switched on and no cookware is on it. Because induction cooktops use electromagnetism to generate heat, the cookware must be made of ferrous (iron or steel) materials. Non-ferrous materials on the cookware will not be affected

White Glove Delivery is a special service that is safest for large and overweight items. It is a fully insured both ways service which includes a two man delivery to the room of your choice with your product unpacked and all of the packaging debris removed. This service does not include installation of any type. Delivery includes shipment to the first floor. There will be a $15 per floor charge for any item being delivered to past the first floor. The white glove delivery time is normally between 3 and 10 business days. Our carrier of choice will contact you directly to arrange a convenient delivery time.
