• MPEG-4/MJPEG Compression Options
Users can choose to capture video in the higher quality MJPEG or in the more versatile MPEG-4 compression formats. This gives a user the necessary control over how video is recorded and how it is distributed over the network while taking into account such crucial factors as available storage and network resources.
• Multiplexing
Video can be simultaneously viewed live, recorded, played back and accessed over the network with no degradation in image quality or DVR performance.
• Remote Internet Viewing
Live and recorded video can be viewed from a remote Internet location using a PC loaded with licensed AP software or over an Internet Explorer browser. Up to 5 network users can simultaneously access the same live or recorded material.
• Intelligent Motion Detection with Email Alerts
A sophisticated motion detection function, adjustable for area and sensitivity, can be applied to each camera input. By recording only important footage, motion detection saves on hard drive space and makes it easy to locate event footage. Motion detection events can be sent as FTP or email alerts over the network.
• Covert Camera Function
Any camera can be selected to record in the background without actually appearing on the monitor.
