The MAC 250 Entour moving head features two gobo wheels, a 12-position color wheel, mechanical dimming, shutter, a 3-facet rotating prism, motorized focus and a user-friendly construction. It features a specially designed dimming system for smooth and even dimming.
A 17-degree achromatic lens system within the Entour produces a sharp picture and a narrow-angle 14-degree lens is also included for longer projection throws. A fast full-range dimmer/shutter allows for smooth color and effect transitions through easy variation of the light intensity. Strobe effects are possible up to 20 Hz.
A newly designed rotating and indexing gobo wheel offers a new selection of replaceable metal and dichroic gobos. The 16-bit precision gobo wheel houses 7 slots plus open. Gobo changes are fast and easy. The Entour houses an additional fixed gobo wheel with 10 replaceable metal gobos. A series of beam reduction gobos for easy adjustment of beam size are also included.
Rich color shades originate from a motorized color wheel that houses 12 dichroic color filters plus open with split position possibilities. All color filters are replaceable, and designers can customize the color palette to fit their needs with the wide variety of optional colors available from Martin.
The MAC 250 Entours modular housing is designed to make service and maintenance simple with fast access to modules and critical components. The Entour also features a high-resolution dimming system similar to the MAC 2000 that provides smooth and even dimming. Strobe effects are possible up to 20 Hz.
A bi-directional, 3-facet prism rotates at variable speeds, adding unique effects to gobo projection. The prism can also be replaced. The Entour is equipped with a remote focus for additional effect possibilities, as well as various preset patterns.
The latest in pan and tilt motor technology makes the new MAC 250 fixtures the fastest moving heads that Martin has ever produced. Movement range is 540° of pan X 257° of tilt. If knocked out of position, a high-speed automatic reset function realigns the fixture in seconds. The Entour also includes two additional features: an accessible multi-position tilt lock that eases handling when moved frequently and a low-noise operation mode that is included for noise-sensitive studio environments.
The MAC 250 Entour is equipped with 3-pin and 5-pin XLR IN/OUT connectors (for data). It is also prepared for future standards such as ACN or Ethernet-based protocol. Also included is a light-sensitive yellow LED display for easy fixture programming that provides simple maintenance menus and easy-to-understand error messages. Customizeable settings allow the user to tailor the fixture to their specifics.
